Southern Rural Water (SRW) wishes to thank those who showed an interest in our recently advertised vacancy. We wish to advise that the position has been filled.

SRW has now increased its bore construction focus with two new field officers and a new field presence in the Geelong area. These changes were implemented to further improve SRW’s monitoring of new bore construction and other groundwater related issues to protect existing groundwater users and the environment.

SRW now has 5 professional drilling staff strategically located across the state. Our drilling officers have diverse drilling experience and hold Victorian drilling licenses. Our drilling officers conduct inspections at proposed new bore locations, on drill sites while construction is underway, and at existing bore sites to gather field information in relation to bore construction and groundwater licence applications. Our officers also conduct scheduled and random checks for compliance with legislation, conduct drillers licence examinations and are available to provide customer service to the industry and public.

With increased expectations from the community and the industry that the ground water resource is protected for current and future uses, drillers and landowners will notice an increase in compliance activity by SRW.
