GENERAL INFORMATION
Courses are run in a relaxed manner and students will be encouraged to share their
experiences and learn from each other. All presenters are highly skilled and come
from the drilling industry. They have a wealth of practical experience and, as
industry experts, ensure that the latest techniques and information are passed on to
students.
A student should have a reasonable standard of literacy and
numeracy, and generally be
able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Course numbers are limited to 15 people to ensure that each student's needs are looked
after, and explanations are understood.
Progress is monitored during the course by the use of questionnaires, which are checked
to ensure that the learning has been achieved. All students who achieve a
satisfactory assessment will receive a Certificate of Attainment.
Each student receives a comprehensive reference manual, which contains a full set of
notes on each module in the course. The training consists of analysis, explanation
and discussion on the various topics, using overheads, diagrams, models, etc., and is
generally supported by practical examples and syndicate discussions.
The fees for each course include reference manuals, morning and afternoon teas, and
lunch. The course fee does not include accommodation.
